Becca was SO excited to finally be going to school :) I was able to get her into the Head Start Preschool program. Its the State run program. Even though its free, it keeps excellent standards. The preschool at UC Davis that the other kids went to is actually the lab school that sets the standards for this program. The rooms are set up almost the same and the centers are very much alike. In one of the homemade picture books in the classroom there are even pictures of the school the other girls went to. Becca was really excited to see a familiar place in one of her books lol. Below is a pic of the first day. Becca is talking to one of the teachers, telling her that she knows how to spell words, read a bit, ect. It was actually kinda funny cuz the teacher was trying to get the day started but Becca totally ignored her ques (yes Becca knew what she was doing which made me smile even more). I figured it was best that they got to know her personality right from the get go ;).
Since she goes in the afternoon, they start the day with lunch. The classroom is at one of the elementary schools here in Simi so for lunch they get the regular school hot lunch. Again, Becca was thrilled with this because for the past couple years she has seen her sisters get these lunches and now she gets her own :)
